- Do I need my computer on?
- No. Deckhand keeps a copy of your collection in the cloud and syncs it with AnkiWeb, the same way the Anki apps do.
- Do you store my AnkiWeb password?
- No. We use it once to get AnkiWeb's sync key, then throw the password away. The key is encrypted, and disconnecting deletes it.
- Does it change my settings in Anki?
- No. Keep syncing with AnkiWeb on every device like you do now.
- I use AnkiHub or AnKing decks. Anything to know?
- Adding your own cards, tagging and suspending work normally. If you edit the text of a note AnkiHub manages, AnkiHub's next update can overwrite it unless that field is protected.
- What counts as a change?
- Adding a card, editing or deleting one, and rating a card in a quiz each count as one. Moving or suspending a batch counts as one.
